How do I install my Burner Buddy?

How does Burner Buddy work?

Burner Buddy is made of a specially formulated glass that can withstand the heat and temperature changes typically experienced by a glass cooktop. As a result, once you place your Burner Buddy on your cooktop, you can treat it like you normally would but without the worry.

Can I use the pots and pans I already own?

Yes! You can use all the pots and pans you currently own. Even Cast Iron!

Will I still be able to see the burners since there is no outline?

Burner Buddy is semi transparent. You will still be able to see the red glow of the burner through the glass. If you need to cook something on low it is recommended to turn it on high for a brief moment to see the burner and place your pan before turning it low.

How do I clean my Burner Buddy?

Will it affect cooking?

There isn't much difference in your cooking experience other than the peace of mind knowing your cooktop is safe.

Will the whole surface heat up?

Burner Buddy heats up in a similar fashion to your current smooth electric cooktop. When using a burner it will not heat the entire surface all at once but some heat will radiate out from the burner.

Can I cook food directly on Burner Buddy?

No. Burner Buddy is not designed for food to cook directly on the glass. The intent is to treat it as you would your normal stovetop or cooktop. You still need to use pots and pans to prepare your food.

What is the return policy?

Each Burner Buddy comes with a 45 Day Satisfaction Guarantee from the date of purchase. If you are not totally satisfied within 45 days you can return the product for a full refund excluding any expedited shipping fees. My Order Arrived Damaged What Should I Do?

Email info@burnerbuddy.com to start the process of receiving a replacement. The damaged product will need to be returned. Do not remove the glass from the package. Re-seal the box and you will be provided with a return shipping label via email that will need to be printed and affixed to the package to send back.

How does the 45 Day Satisfaction Guarantee work?

Does it work with Induction Cooktops?

Yes, and no. We get asked this one a lot. Burner Buddy is a semi transparent black glass. Without a light source behind it you are not able to see through the panel. This would conceal the outlines that show you where to put the pan. With an electric smooth top, this isn't an issue since the coils underneath the glass glow when turned on. This is visible though the pan and provides direction on where to place it. You would not have that with an induction cooktop since there is no conventional heating element. It could make it difficult to get the pan in the right spot with induction.
