My neighbor recommended Burner Buddy when I purchased a new range a few weeks ago. I did some research online and learned that this is the only item on the market to protect the glasstop from scratches. I placed my order and received it a few days later. It was so easy to place on top, add the "bumpers", and wipe off.
As stated on the Burner Buddy website, I did need to turn the burner heat up a little more than usual, but that's fine! I love this item so much, I told my other neighbors. Actually, one had to call her husband to come over and see it so she could order one.
I also like that this glass is tempered to 1400 degrees. I have a small kitchen with little counter space. So, when I take a pan or cookie sheet out of the oven, I know I can safely place it on top on the Burner Buddy. And, I also don't have to worry about scratches on my glasstop. I highly recommend having a Burner Buddy!
I was concerned about the high cost. But, find it is Worth every penny. It’s easier to clean than the stove top which required a lot more labor after normal spills. I recommend it highly.

I've never had a ceramic electric stove. I've seen some rough ones in my time. Thought this would prolong its life and look. A bit pricey. Doesn't seem to fit well. Even with the bumpers. It feels like it still has too much wiggle room. I measured though. 3 times. Maybe it's just supposed to be that way? It is a little tougher to see where the cooktop lights up, but not by much. If you struggle with color detection, I can see this being a problem. I have a Samsung and it turns a brilliant, bright red that still comes through. Seems pretty resilient so far.
